Class of 2016 – Year 6 leavers presentation.

What an emotional time we had this morning during our year 6 leavers assembly.

Well done to all the pupils preparing either a little dance routine, sketch, or singing. We even had Elliot playing his cornet!

We are so proud to give Elliot the Moorside Shield for all his hard work, dedication and being a perfect role model to the whole school. Amongst other things, Eliot stayed after school with Mrs Power to help young brass players learn and progress playing the cornet. He’ll be missed by all.

Lauren received the Pupil of the Year. Again, for a perfect learner and role model.

Ewan achieved the highest SATs marks for reading and SPaG. Nevan had the highest marks for maths. Other awards were given for progress in reading, handwriting, science, music, art ICT etc.

There was also a high number of children who achieved 100% attendance.

We wish all our class of  2016 the very best as they move on to the next chapter in their education.

I’m sure you will agree all the staff in year 6 – Mrs Rosenbloom, Miss Ashton, Mrs Pratt and  Mrs Bambroffe have done an amazing job working along side them this year.

Have a restful summer.
