Race for Life For Lucy Greenhough

image image image image image image image image On Friday the 8th July The whole school took part in a Race for life in memory of Lucy Greenhough. Lucy used to be a pupil at our school but sadly died last year. We wanted to pay tribute to her as she was a very popular girl who was very friendly and talented , such a great role model to others. We invited Lucy’s Mum and Nana to come along and release 13 balloons with the sports ambassadors, sports council and the play-leaders and start the race off. Family and friends were invited the come along and cheer on the children as they ran around the school. All the children dressed in pink or blue and even the staff joined in, including Mr C the Principal who came dressed as a 118 man. It was a fabulous event and everyone enjoyed it and had lots of fun. Moorside raised a fabulous £1,725.00 for Cancer Research thankyou to everyone who donated and made this event a massive success. The story even made the front page . Lucy’s Mum would also like to thank everyone for such a lovely tribute to Lucy and for the fabulous amount of money raised. Thankyou everyone !
