Reading Recovery National Awards 2017
Reading Recovery is an intervention which gives children, ‘who have drawn a short straw a chance to draw a longer one’, stated Gillian Anderson, actress and champion of the programme at the national awards at the Institute of Education in London on Friday 7th July 2017.
Ebony, a Year 2 pupil at Moorside Academy, was awarded a prize for her reflections on herself as reader during the programme. Pie Corbett handed out the prizes: a trophy, a certificate and a signed book.
Mum, Miss Tkachuk (Reading Recovery Teacher) and Ebony attended the event and had a fabulous day.
Well done Ebony and keep up the good work!
